EP. 21: 4x Olympian and Silver Medalist Meb Keflezighi

A conversation with Meb Keflezighi. In addition to his 4 Olympic appearances and an Olympic silver medal, he’s won both the NYC Marathon and the Boston Marathon the year after the bombings, the first American to do so in decades. He boasts the most sub 2:10 finishes of any American professional marathoner.

We talk about his origin story, and his latest book 26 Marathons. We discuss footwear technology and whether or not it is giving runners a performance advantage. We talk about what the American professional marathoners and Meb’s perspective on what they need to do to remain competitive. Meb provides his personal and candid views of the racial tensions in America, police brutality and his perspective on being a black runner in America.
